| Palais Conti - Hotel de Laverdy
It takes its name from the Inspector General
of Finance and senior minister of Louis
XV, François de L'Averdy, who lived
here up until the Revolution.
This hôtel or mansion still exists
in part, built into the Mint workshops,
on the impasse de Conti side.
This building was attached to the Paris
Mint on 20 December 1795 to house the workshops
of the Master Engraver, part of the gold
refining workshops and the Guarantee technical
office.
